Want to know what Raguel (
un_fallen) thinks of character X? Get 'em here. You can have the present or future version if that's the way your multiverse turns, or Famine (
die_tician) if you prefer. Famine's opinion, though, is likely to be kind of one-dimensional. ;)

Date: 2008-02-29 01:25 am (UTC)These are tough, because both present!R and future!R know Mal, but future!R has had very little contact with him so far, so it is flexible. :D
Present!Raguel likes Mal, obviously, and trusts his judgment. He also respects Mal on a level that is a little bit weird for someone you don't know well. Mal is a captain, and the captain is something special in Raguel's eyes. It's the responsibility of running a ship or... something, yes, but also R feels that captains are what they are because the people they command allow them to be. Does that make any sense at all? Mal had like 10 (or more or less - he didn't know) people silently vouching for his integrity, skill, leadership, etc. the moment Raguel found out he was a captain. And Raguel both needs and rebels against authority, but mostly needs.
Future!Raguel's opinion as far as I know hasn't changed. He stays away from Mal for the most part because if he does run into him he's pretty sure he'll see a harsh judgment in the eyes of a man he respects, and he wouldn't have any good reason to argue in his own defense.
