Want to know what Raguel (
un_fallen) thinks of character X? Get 'em here. You can have the present or future version if that's the way your multiverse turns, or Famine (
die_tician) if you prefer. Famine's opinion, though, is likely to be kind of one-dimensional. ;)

Date: 2008-02-29 01:25 am (UTC)These are tough, because both present!R and future!R know Mal, but future!R has had very little contact with him so far, so it is flexible. :D
Present!Raguel likes Mal, obviously, and trusts his judgment. He also respects Mal on a level that is a little bit weird for someone you don't know well. Mal is a captain, and the captain is something special in Raguel's eyes. It's the responsibility of running a ship or... something, yes, but also R feels that captains are what they are because the people they command allow them to be. Does that make any sense at all? Mal had like 10 (or more or less - he didn't know) people silently vouching for his integrity, skill, leadership, etc. the moment Raguel found out he was a captain. And Raguel both needs and rebels against authority, but mostly needs.
Future!Raguel's opinion as far as I know hasn't changed. He stays away from Mal for the most part because if he does run into him he's pretty sure he'll see a harsh judgment in the eyes of a man he respects, and he wouldn't have any good reason to argue in his own defense.

Date: 2008-02-29 03:31 am (UTC)Galadan - well, I've talked about this one a little bit. In the present he doesn't get why Galadan is so withdrawn and unfriendly, though he never thought he was exactly the friendly sort. Now he's got a downright aversion. :0 As for the future version, he very much liked having someone to fight even though he's promised he wouldn't anymore. Ultimately it was frustrating, he supposes, because he couldn't really let loose due to Future Entanglements. He will definitely be looking out for the happy couple in The Future, though, and is, to be honest, waiting for an opportunity where he can't say no. Oooo! ... Then he shakes his head and goes back to tracking down evildoers. ;)
And X... well, she really does push all of his OH CRAP I SUCK buttons. It is like clockwork. He does see the similarities between them but is REALLY UNWILLING to see himself as a programmed weapon. Partially... okay, mostly... because Lucifer implied the same thing once and he hates it when Lucifer is right. ;) He does believe that he has a choice most of the time, but he is pretty sure that X did, too. He's a little bit jealous that she can do what she wants with her abilities now and he's still riding the same rail, so to speak.

Date: 2008-03-03 04:14 am (UTC)Okay! In the present, Raguel is a little wary of River. He thinks he understands some of what she's trying to tell him, but lately she has seemed intentionally vague. I WONDER WHY. He knows that Crowley looks out for her, though, and he does try to do the same when Crowley's not around. He's kind of creeped out by the fact that she's hanging around with the wolf-man and hopes that it ends soon. Ahahaha.
Future!Raguel seems to think that he and River are great pals. I was thinking at first that they'd have had a lifetime to get used to each other (in the present) and would be on better terms - at least until that unfortunate incident with her father. On the other hand, it could be that he's just crazy. Either way, he will have witnessed more of her abilities and knows exactly how well she can take care of herself. He's holding himself back a bit (at least this is what he tells himself) when he fights Galadan for her sake, because he doesn't want to find out that he's capable of killing him. Which he might not be, but it's the thought that counts, right? XD

Date: 2008-03-04 10:08 am (UTC)The lifetime of getting to know each other (in the present where one of them, at least, is sane) is entirely possible still! It will take her, uh, a while to work past the future-timeline stuff, but it's not impossible. Since she is aware that it's not really the fault of the Milliways version. Except in a long-range indirect way.
And I LOVE that he thinks they're great friends in the future. Oh, Raguel. You so crazy.
*ruffles his hair happily*

Date: 2008-03-05 04:34 am (UTC)He still isn't sure that she understands - really understands - that he kills people for someone else's revenge. Killing is what he does and what he is and surely anyone who's going to call him a - whatever she calls him - should understand that. So that's another reason for all the caution. And he's frustrated that she puts herself in danger without telling anyone - he thinks it would be selfish to assume it will always be him that she goes to, but he hasn't yet met many people who can really do him damage and he thinks it's a waste that she gets hurt when he could so easily (he thinks) help to defeat her attackers. He does understand that she believes the fights are personal. He just doesn't like it. ;)
Really, I could go on for aaaaages.
